In spring 2005, the Canadian Foundation for Dental Hygiene Research and Education announced its inaugural call for proposals for dental hygiene projects.

Eligible applicants were invited to submit proposals according to specified criteria by May 31, 2005. The Funded Projects were announced during the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association Conference in Ottawa on Saturday, June 18, 2005.
